“I am very pleased with the service that Western heating and air conditioning provides overall. They’re not the cheapest and they are not the most expensive, but they do offer a high-level of technical expertise. We purchased our home a little more than a year ago and they have serviced it several times using the Goldstar program. I highly recommend a service plan equal to or better than that level. It comes with a lot. About a week ago, Matt found deterioration in our heat exchanger. The unit was about 13 years old, so it was a little early, but not a complete surprise. There was no carbon monoxide leaks, but we felt it would safest to simply replace the unit. Jason came to plan the replacement and provided an estimate. Plenty of options. We are happy with our selection of a furnace that was highly efficient and kind of middle of the road. The cost is never exciting, but it’s something we planned for. The installation team consisting of Max and Travis came in just a few days and proficiently removed the old unit and installed the new unit in addition to a whole home humidifier which is definitely beneficial in Idaho. They also installed two ecobee smart thermostats. They were courteous, clean, technically proficient, and friendly. They explained the functionality of the new system and helped me set up the app on my smart phone to control everything. We were going to pay cash, but Western offered an interest-free payment plan at no additional cost. We decided to take advantage of that as well and will have our unit paid off in 18 months. We have two other homes and while we hope we can avoid installing new units in those homes, if and when we do, we will definitely use Western. Very pleased customers!”
