Since 1967, Western Heating and Air Conditioning has been one of the premier family-owned companies serving the Treasure Valley. What started as a small shop founded by Bill and Bob has grown into a third-generation business, now led by Zac Barnes. Over the years, Western has expanded beyond HVAC to include electrical and plumbing services, continuing to evolve alongside the community it serves. With a team of over 200 employees, Western has the capacity to handle a wide range of services efficiently—delivering high-quality work with faster turnaround times while staying true to its local, family-driven roots.

Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America has become one of our proudest partnerships. Each year, we team up to host a Christmas party for the kids, creating a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved. From donating our time to providing resources, we're committed to making the holiday season special and giving back to the community that means so much to us.
BOISE STATE ATHLETICS
We've proudly partnered with Boise State Athletics for years, supporting the football and basketball teams as well as the Boise State Spirit Squad. One of our favorite traditions is donating a large check to the Spirit Squad at the end of each basketball season. Beyond game day support, we're also committed to investing in the future by hiring graduates from Boise State University, helping us grow our team while keeping local talent right here in the Treasure Valley.
water heater giveaway
Every year, we partner with a local radio station to give back in a meaningful way by gifting a free 50-gallon water heater, including installation, to a deserving Veteran in our community. It's one small way we can show our appreciation and support for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. We're honored to work with Veterans, and this giveaway is just another opportunity for us to give back and make a positive impact where it matters most.
warhawk air museum
The Warhawk Air Museum is an incredible local treasure in Nampa, and we're proud to partner with them. Through this partnership, we're able to support not only the museum itself but also the many veterans who volunteer and visit there. It's an honor to give back to those who have served while helping preserve such an important piece of history for our community.
IDAHO STEELHEADS
Western has proudly sponsored the Idaho Steelheads for many years, building a strong and lasting relationship along the way. The Steelheads have been an important part of the Boise community for a long time, and we feel incredibly fortunate to support a team that brings so much energy, pride, and connection to the Treasure Valley.

The Boise Hawks and Western have been proud partners for years, and we couldn't be happier about it. Being able to head out to a ball game and support our local baseball team is something we truly value, it's a great way to connect with the community while celebrating a long-standing Boise tradition.
WYAKIN FOUNDATION
The Wyakin Foundation is dedicated to helping Veterans build successful, fulfilling civilian lives after their service. We're proud to partner with both the foundation and the Boise Hawks to host a special Military Night at the stadium. Through the sale and auction of limited-edition, military-themed Hawks jerseys, we're able to raise meaningful funds that directly support Veterans in our community. In addition, we're honored to sponsor a table at the Wyakin Foundation's annual gala each year, continuing our commitment to standing behind those who have served.
optimist football
For over 20 years, Western has proudly supported youth athletics by sponsoring teams through Optimist Youth Football. What started as a single team has grown into as many as four teams at a time, giving more kids across the Treasure Valley the opportunity to get involved in the game. One of the most meaningful parts is seeing our warehouse manager volunteer his time to coach, helping mentor young athletes and encouraging them to stay active.
going green
At Western, we're always looking for ways to operate more sustainably and reduce our environmental impact. In 2025 alone, we recycled over 540,000 pounds of metal, helping keep valuable materials out of landfills. We also utilize zone-based dispatching, which keeps our technicians working within specific areas—reducing drive times, lowering fuel consumption, and cutting down on emissions while maintaining efficient service for our customers.
