“The work of both of the above technicians was exemplary. They carried out the work very efficiently, and actually took less time than they expected, probably because our house is fairly small with only 9 vents. They did not mind moving items in the house to gain access to the vents, nor did they have any problem moving both our washing machine and tumble drier to gain access to the drier vent and replace the outlet hose. Also, they put everything back for us and left no trace of any trash afterwards. Plus, they were both friendly and we had good conversations with them. Highly recommended, and a job very well done. Having said that, this was no surprise anyhow, because we have always had excellent service from Western Heating at this address for the last 13 years.”

“Hello,
I’m writing regarding the recent service visit and the installation of the turbo start assist relay and turbo capacitor on our HVAC system.
After reviewing the typical cost of this part and the time involved in installing it, we feel the price we were charged was excessive and not reflective of the actual cost or effort required. From what we understand, the part itself is relatively inexpensive and the installation appears to take only a few minutes. Because of that, the overall charge left us feeling like we were significantly overcharged.
I want to be clear that this concern is not directed at the technician who came to our home. He was professional and courteous during the visit. Our concern is with the company’s pricing practices and policies.
Unfortunately, this is also the third situation where we’ve had concerns. During a previous service call, we were initially told that our HVAC system required a new motherboard and would be charged for it. After we questioned the diagnosis, we later learned the board was actually covered under warranty. Experiences like this make it difficult for us to feel confident that we are receiving fair recommendations and pricing.
We would appreciate it if someone could review this situation and explain the pricing for the turbo start assist installation. At a minimum, we hope the company will consider whether the charge applied was appropriate.
We value working with reputable local service providers, but situations like this raise concerns about the company’s practices. We would appreciate your response and clarification.
