Unfortunately my experience did not go as expected, my AC was not fixed by western and I was charged several hundred dollars in troubleshooting fees with no resolution offered. Very disappointing for such a well known company.

After a routine maintenance check, our technician discovered several indicators of a failing water heater. Since it was 12 years old, we had them replace the unit. They did a great job and we were pleased with their competence and quality of their service.

Followed up after my visit to ensure that I had been given all options for replacing my dual capacitor. Marissa from dispatch was knowledgeable, professional and VERY HELPFUL! She was able to adjust the price down with an adjustment in the warranty. Original price was $390 with 5 year warranty. She adjusted to $215 with a 1 year warranty, which suits us better right now.

Western Heating & Cooling is the only company I will ever trust with HVAC moving forward. My little Samsung ductless mini-splits have been an ongoing issue. I had 3 different maintenance & repair companies throughout the year attempt to fix the issues, all failed leaving me with the bill & a bandaid. Western actually spent the time analyzing, going through a logical process of elimination, calling Samsung, and really getting to the root of the problem. All for an extremely fair price! They were so kind and professional, always wore protective booties in the house, very responsive with phone calls, you couldn’t ask for better service. Thanks Western!

Another big company had installed an HVAC system but left the ductwork untouched, then wanted to charge an arm and a leg for that work. Sam gave me a very reasonable estimate and Michael, Anthony, and, Zabe did a fantastic job removing the old and installing all nee ductwork. I could feel the difference immediately. They were clean, friendly, and professional. I would recommend them to my own family.

From my initial call on Friday to Shane inspecting my setup and giving me a quote on Tuesday, and full installation by Thursday—the whole process was seamless. **Edit to add - after owners response - if my apt was originally scheduled incorrectly for 7/24/26 by the AI system, how would I have gotten a new appointment scheduled with your company for today, 8/24/26 if I hadn't spoken with your office again?! I spoke with your office for almost 13mins on 7/24/26 when they called me to explain the AI system scheduled us for the incorrect date and I explained in detail the issues with my AC and never once was an additional $100 fee for diagnostics discussed, only the option for the monthly plan which i said i would think about. But knowing our system was not keeping up with the heat in the afternoon and evenings I was still scheduled for and quoted an A/C Tune-up - Shady and liars.**Terrible, I feel they are just another shady A/C & Heating company. I called a month ago when my AC could not keep up in the afternoon and evenings with how hot it was outside, explained I needed an AC tune-up because we have not had one done before. Their answering service scheduled an apt for the next day. I then received a call back from an actual person, not the AI answering service and they explained that the service put us in for the wrong day. I had assumed as much when its the hottest month of the year, I assumed I would not get next day service. I explained to a real person everything that was going on with our AC, that its never been serviced and its not keeping up with how hot it gets in the afternoon and evening. She quotes me the price of the AC Tune up and offers the family plan, I tell her I'll think about it, and I get scheduled for a tune up for a month later.The technician arrives today, I again explain what is going on, that our AC works fine most of the time, but it can't cool the house down enough in the hotter evening. He tells me that they have to "Service and diagnose" the underlying issue and it will now cost an additional $100. I said no, let's start with the tune up and clean the machine, since that hasnt been done before, and if the issue persists we will have them back out for service. He continues to tell me no, thats not how they do it, it has to be a service call. I politely decline service. I call their office to find out why, when I told them the exact issues we were having they did not tell me that it would HAVE to be a service call with a diagnostic for an additional $100 when scheduling. The person then went on to argue with me that I did not speak to an actual person, but their answering service which clearly did not catch the full extent of what I was asking for and needing done for my AC. I explained, no, it was a person because they called me back and I had a 5min convo with them.Im used to shady AC repair people in this area. I was trusting this company to be different based on their reviews, and they caused me to waste a month to try to scam me when they got here. Completely frustrating!

After my current HVAC provider said I had a coolant leak in my system, they quoted a very high estimate for finding the leak and refilling the coolant: $2400!! The technician said the system was 4 lbs down (turns out there is no way of knowing this until you refill the system!), however the quote included $740 for 7 lbs of coolant! I called Western to get their 2nd look service call (free) and Dustin showed up. What a difference! Dustin found the leak in about 15 minutes with a gas detector. It was a loose nut on a fitting! He tightened it and refilled the system with 3 lbs of coolant. Total cost under $300 because Dustin didn't do a full leak test. Instead, after filling the system he will return to do the full test which will be another $200-ish. In other words, he not only was super smart and professional, he didn't nickel and dime me. Folks, you can't do better than Western, they truly want to do what's best for you and your wallet. Don't use anyone else!!!

We purchased a new Toll Brothers home, and Western-Heating Plumbing and Air was contracted to install the AC. After moving in, we registered the unit to activate the extended warranty and signed up for the platinum maintenance plan ($48/month), which added five extra years to the warranty on repairs.13 months later, the AC stopped blowing cool air during a hot summer. I contacted Western Heating & Air Conditioning, who said a technician would visit for $97 the next day. Kaleb arrived shortly after, inspecting the unit in about ten minutes. He informed us that the compressor had failed and needed replacement. While the parts were covered under warranty, the repair would cost $2,008. I was confused, given the unit's newness, and pointed out that the warranty should cover the repair and parts but I was told it had been expired.I contacted Carrier, the manufacturer, who explained that this issue shouldn’t happen and noted that compressors typically last 10-15 years. They clarified that improper installation would be the only reason for such failure.A different HVAC company confirmed the unit was indeed installed incorrectly. I reported this back to Western Heating & Plumbing, who scheduled Kaleb to revisit and re-inspect the unit. The following day, after several diagnostics, Kaleb confirmed improper installation and said he would discuss the matter with his manager.When I didn’t hear back, I requested to speak with a supervisor. During my conversation with the supervisor, he avoided addressing the issue and dismissed the possibility of incorrect installation.I then contacted Toll Brothers to report the matter. They agreed the situation was unacceptable for a new unit and assured me they would take action.Western Heating Air & Plumbing does not care nor value their customers. Their focus seems to be solely on profit, but they fail to provide quality service. This experience has discouraged me from using them again.

I've been using Western for 12 years and have always had a courteous and professional experience. New systems are fully explained with cost and install time quotes, maintenance and repairs completed efficiently. I know that overall I would have spent much more had I not had their Blue Ribbon service. When emergencies occur (and they will, eventually) it's assuring to know Western will be here for us when we need them!

Unfortunately for me, I wasted over four hours of my Friday waiting for the technician to do the work. Had I not called your office at 1:42 I most likely would have been gone to do my errands before Michael called me to say he was leaving to come to my house which he called at 1:59. When he arrived at 2:20ish I asked Mike when he realized he wasn’t going to make it to my home between 11:00-2:00? He said not until about ten minutes before I called as it was not showing up on his phone. He did apologize and he gave me a free AC filter. I cannot express highly enough my disappointment in all of this and would love to go over your broken scheduling process with upper management to make a few process improvement recommendations.Kenny Vaughn

Update, one year later. The install was great, but their ongoing customer service isn't stellar. They didn't want to book my pre-paid spring service in a timely fashion (I called in May), and when I told the woman on the phone I wanted something before the end of summer, she didn't have any options nor did she mention a wait-list. She just said, "Okay!" and hung up the phone. I used another company for my spring service. Now, they're calling me to book the spring service (it's mid-August) and telling me that not using them to service my AC unit voids my warranty. This was never mentioned in May, when I initially called to book said service. Nothing was explained at that time. Now, I'm wondering if the woman I spoke to in May hung up the phone so quickly because she knew if I used someone else I would void the warranty, and they wouldn't have to be responsible for it. So, they do great installs, but don't buy the warranty and don't expect great customer service thereafter. They seem to be more of a break-fix instead of maintenance team.___I had a great experience with Western! Our 28 year old AC unit finally gave up, and Western had someone out the next day to review the situation. Dustin was professional and efficient and gave us his honest opinion, making our decision to proceed easy. Jason, the project manager, arrived the next day to plan our replacement. He was professional, enthusiastic, answered every question, and offered so many helpful suggestions. Booking was super easy, just a few texts back and forth to set the day and time. I was so surprised I could get on the schedule so quickly! At the peak of heat in June, I figured we’d be weeks out, but no. We were on the schedule just a few days after our project manager left. Theron and team mate arrived to complete the work and both were so through and professional! I work from home and had meetings all afternoon, but I never heard a bump, peep, rattle, crash, or anything! The team worked quickly and efficiently and had the entire thing done in about four hours. Everything looks so nice! Theron really went out of his way to ensure all our new lines were carefully wrapped and neatly organized, making both our heater and AC area tidy. The team also patiently answered all our questions and did a thorough review and introduction to our new AC unit and how it tied into our heater. Overall, I am so pleased with Western and very, very grateful they could get us an AC unit so quickly! 10/10. Appreciate y’all!
