“I meant to post a review last week but after ANOTHER weekend of record-setting temperatures in Boise I could not let it go any longer– I am super happy with the service I received from all the folks at Western Heating and Air. My Air Conditioner died, and I had a service call from Doug H. He provided all of my options with professionalism and was very kind to help me grasp that my 28-year-old system really needed to be retired. It was basically replacing the failed part or replacing the system, and it was pretty obvious which was the better investment, but they never pushed anything on me. Sam J. was the Project Manager who came out to do the situational assessment and is very personable, and after having been at Western since 1994, is an extremely trustworthy advocate for the company. He explained things, gave me great advice, and included in the bid some modifications to the existing pipes and ducts to make servicing the system WAY more accessible in the future. Sam also talked to me about the many financing options available and I began to feel much more comfortable with the choice to have a new system installed. Shannon was able to schedule the installation in a super quick turnaround as there was another heat wave heading my way.
Josh J. and Serge R. were my install guys and they also were very professional, worked hard, and were so pleasant to work with. And they also explained ALL the things, which I really appreciated. Chris walked me through the financing and made it pretty painless.
I have had the new system for a week now, a HOT week, and it runs like a champ. I am SO thankful!

the system and it was caused by a missing clamp and was able to replace it. This clamp could have been missing since the
furnace was installed or not replaced before. Doug also found a hose that was leaking because the hose clamp was broken.
Doug replaced the clamp. Both of the areas had no more leakage. I like to sit out of the way while the work is being performed

“A day after having a new A/C installed, the system stopped pushing cold air. So we called Western and Doug Harman came to check things out. I was immediately impressed as he methodically went through his mental checklist to diagnose the problem. After some time he determined that the new compressor and coil were working properly, but the furnace unit wasn’t pushing air. It was a puzzle until he visually inspected the blower fan and determined the fan was turning in the wrong direction which caused the coil to freeze due to lack of air movement. Knowing then what was needed, Doug returned the next day with the correct motor. Once installed, the system came on and the difference was immediate. Everything worked! I want to commend Doug for his trouble shooting ability, knowledge and professionalism. Highy recommended!”

“My furnace stopped putting out heat and the temperatures outside are in the 20s so our house was very cold. I called Western Heating and Air with the assumption I would have to wait a few days to get someone to visit. I was pleased to hear that they would be able to come out today and would be called prior to them coming. I expected it to be later in the afternoon, but I received a call less than an hour later. They were on their way.
When they arrived they went straight to work, found what the problem was, and then presented options for solving the issues. They said they would be able to take care of it in a short amount of time if I chose to go ahead and do it. We agreed to one of the solutions and within a short amount of time, the furnace was fixed!
It was a fantastic experience because they were quick to respond to my urgent need, they clearly explained the problem and the possible solutions, then they were quick to fix it after a solution was agreed upon. I highly recommend using Western Heating and Air Conditioning.”
